What Is Invisalign®?

Invisalign® straightens your teeth without wires and brackets using a series of clear, customized, removable appliances called aligners. Our patients report increased confidence and find themselves smiling more, both during and after their Invisalign® treatment.

Why Would I Want Invisalign®?

Your custom aligners are not only invisible, they are removable, so you can eat and drink as you normally would during treatment. With no metal or wires, your aligners are also comfortable which means you’ll spend less time in the orthodontist’s chair getting adjustments. Invisalign® also allows you to view your own virtual treatment plan when you start so you can see how your straight teeth will look when your treatment is complete.

Your Invisalign® Consultation

Dr. Gupta will discuss with you what you would like to change about your smile. She will then review each photo and X-ray and explain to you in detail what changes need to be made to your teeth for you to have the smile that you deserve.

Because of Dr. Gupta’s extensive experience and expertise in Invisalign®, we are able to offer Invisalign® as a treatment option to the majority of our patients. If you are not an ideal candidate for Invisalign®, Dr. Gupta will let you know this at your initial consultation and explain to you your other options to get a beautiful smile.

Your Invisalign® Treatment

The Invisalign® System combines advanced 3-D computer graphics technology with the 100-year-old science of orthodontics. Invisalign® aligners are designed to move your teeth in small steps to the desired final position prescribed by Dr. Gupta.

Each aligner is precisely calibrated and manufactured to fit your mouth at each stage of treatment.

Each is worn for about two weeks, only being taken out to eat, brush and floss. As you replace one aligner with the next, your teeth will begin to move gradually – until they have straightened to the final position. You’ll visit our offices about once every 8 weeks to ensure that your treatment is progressing as planned. Total treatment time averages 6-15 months.

Typically,

you will need to visit our office about every 8-10 weeks. Depending on the complexity of each case, Invisalign® treatment can take anywhere from just a few months to two years.
